Hello and welcome to my website , I hope you enjoy the pictures
I am a keen amateur photographer based in Portchester, near Portsmouth. I am married to a very understanding wife who accepts that I need to disappear at strange times of the day to take pictures, or to go fishing…………….. my other hobby.
In 2005 I entered a raffle and unbelievably I won first prize, a canon eos 20d digital SLR. At first it was my intention to sell the camera but having had a little play with it and seen the results on my PC I was hooked.
I now own a Canon 5dmk2 and 1dmk3 bodies, which I mix and match with my EF lenses which include 100mm macro, 17-40f4L, 24-105f4Lis, 70-200f2.8Lis and a 400mm f5.6. I have a set of studio lights with various backdrops, as well as a Speedlight 430ex and Marumi ring flash. I use a Manfrotto tripod and a selection of Cokin filters.
In September 2006 I joined Fareham and Portchester Camera club where I have met a lot of new friends and learnt far more about photography than I ever could from a book.
I am particularly keen on all things nature ie plants, animals and landscapes. I prefer my landscapes to be panoramas.
I have recently sold my first images via the online library site istock. I have also been accepted as a contributor to the prestigious online library Alamy.
